Humidifiers and dehumidifiers are generally used to correct a deviation from a previously defined ideal. We have found a solution that is as simple as it is ingenious with our radio transmitter, which transmits the measured actual humidity value to the devices placed in the room, which then react independently and ensure the desired room climate! The predetermined humidity corridor, which is maintained, is always ensured by the devices working together via radio. In addition to the wireless system, Brune also offers conventional hygrostats. We recommend the unique wireless solution for sensitive areas. We would be happy to advise you on which devices are the best option for your situation.
A smart combination operation via radio with suitable equipment
The special thing about a combined operation is the simple cooperation thanks to our Radio systems. Overlap-free operation works because both devices receive the identical measured value from the radio transmitter. This means that there are no measurement differences! This would not be possible with two individual devices, as they measure separately and differences could occur simply because of the different positioning in the room. The common value is processed in the relevant dehumidifier or humidifier and the room climate is adjusted accordingly.
By transmitting the identical value, a humidity corridor can be defined via the setpoint settings on the appliances, within which the appliances then regulate. For example, set the humidifier to 50% and the dehumidifier to 55%. The humidifier then switches off when 50 % is reached. The dehumidifier would only start working above 55 %. This allows you to maintain a corridor of 50 to 55 % relative humidity.
When you opt for humidity with a system, you not only save money, but also choose a method that is as simple as it is functional. This allows you to regulate the room air and utilise an automatically controlled, complete humidification and dehumidification system: measurement and control made easy.
What do I need to bear in mind when using our wireless combination system?
All devices used must of course be equipped with radio so that they can communicate with our radio transmitter and humidity sensor. The radio frequency is 433 MHz and takes place in real time. Our radio transmitter can work with the following humidifiers without any problems:
• B 260
• B 280
• B 500
• B 600
It should be noted that the B 260 and B 280 appliances require additional radio equipment. The same applies to the two dehumidifiers that can work in combined operation with the humidifiers mentioned: HP 25 und HP 50.
When does a combined system with humidifier and dehumidifier via radio make sense?
The ideal humidity level in rooms is around 40 to 60 %. This applies to all workspaces and offices. In this context, one fact is interesting: people notice quite quickly when it gets colder or warmer, but we lack the ability to perceive minor changes in humidity. A combined system with a radio transmitter is therefore a valuable purchase, for example in winter, to counteract excessively dry indoor air, for example in larger companies.
The Brune system is particularly interesting where the air corridor needs to be determined very precisely or where there are limit values that should not be exceeded under any circumstances. In museums, various materials, such as books and wooden exhibits, have completely different requirements for a room environment than coins or armour.

Hygrostat and hygrometer are often mentioned in a similar context. However, the hygrometer is purely a measuring instrument for relative humidity. The hygrostat for combined operation, on the other hand, is a sensor that not only measures, but also works immediately with the information obtained and can control a humidifier, for example.
In the case of the Hygrostats for wall mounting are the preferred choice for the two humidifiers B 120 and B 125 used. We recommend that you use it with cabinet humidors!

What happens inside the hygrostat can be summarised as follows: the respective water absorption from the air leads to a change in the structure inside.
